Honoring the life of Derek Clenin

Beyond expanding Cy’s Field, The Derek Clenin Family Athletics Center (“The DC”) will be a gathering place for our students, families, and the greater community—a space where kids can grow, families can connect, and friendships can flourish. With a new playground, batting cages, a lacrosse/soccer wall, picnic areas, and a miniature field, this will be a place of fellowship, fun, and faith—three things at the heart of CMDS.

The DC will create a true Homefield Advantage, a destination where future generations are inspired to lead through the same joy, faith and service he did. Most importantly, this project has the full support of Kristen Clenin and the Clenin boys (Colt-6th grade, Cooper-2nd grade and Cruz-SK), who believe this is the perfect way to honor Derek’s legacy. As a beloved coach, parent, and friend, Derek embodied the very best of our school community. His legacy of faith, leadership, and love will continue to shape lives for generations to come.
