How To Apply
The EEP accepts applications throughout the year. However, all new enrollment occurs in August. This is because our classes move up in age groups, beginning in early infancy. Infants, ages 6 weeks to 12 months, are typically grouped within a 3-month birthday range. Our toddler rooms start at 11 months.
If you are interested in the EEP for your family, we encourage you to schedule a tour of our program. We offer tours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. (This schedule best accommodates the needs of our young children.) Appointments for tours are required; please call 901.683.3926 to schedule a tour.
To begin the enrollment process, parents should submit an application along with the $50 application fee. Openings are offered based on the application submission date. Special priority may be given to applicants who have a sibling enrolled in the EEP; have a sibling enrolled in CMDS; or who are active members of Christ United Methodist Church.
If you are submitting the application during pregnancy, please update our administrative team upon the birth of your child and provide us with his or her birthday and name.
What To Expect
Current EEP families receive their intent forms for the upcoming year in mid-February. Following re-enrollment, our administrative team begins the process of reviewing applications submitted throughout the year.
Families who have submitted applications can expect to hear from us in mid to late March. If we are able to accommodate your child for the upcoming year, we will provide more details for enrollment. A $75 registration fee and enrollment forms are due by April 1 to hold your child’s spot for the upcoming school year. Parents will need to sign up for Smart Tuition in May and be prepared to pay August tuition in full on July 2.
We will also reach out to families who we cannot accommodate during enrollment season and let them know potential next steps. We will reach into our applicant pool in the event that we have openings throughout the school year. However, we do not share details about the number or order of students in the pool. A child’s application will remain on file as long as the parents desire, or until the child ages out of the EEP.
