Summer@CMDS is Christ Methodist Day School’s summer camp program. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered, safe, supportive and fun environment for students. We provide activities that allow for movement, social interaction, educational opportunities, personal growth and creativity. Day campers will be divided into groups by age with activities appropriate to the interests, abilities and needs of each group.
Our dedicated and experienced teachers and counselors are committed to creating a loving and nurturing environment for every child. We explore a different theme each week, and have action-packed days filled with water play (YES, we get wet!), arts & crafts, group games and much more. In addition to day camp, we also offer an amazing lineup of Enrichment Camps. No matter what your child is into, Summer@CMDS is designed to creatively meet the needs of all campers.
Summer@CMDS offers seven fun-filled weeks of camp for boys and girls entering PK through 7th grade. Summer@CMDS times run from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Campers do NOT have to be CMDS students to attend, and we love having new friends join us every summer!

Week 1: June 1st-5th
Passport to Summer@CMDS Buckle up for the journey of a lifetime! Campers will jet off on a whirlwind journey to captivating destinations around the world. From daring challenges and hands-on creations to global adventures that spark curiosity, each day is packed with exciting twists and new discoveries. Treasures, memories, and stories await at every stop on this around-the-world exploration—all without leaving camp. Grab your passport, fasten your seatbelt, and let the summer expedition begin!
Week 2: June 8th-12th
Camp Chronicles: A Camper’s Journey Step into a world of imagination where every camper becomes the hero of their own story! Children will embark on daily adventures filled with magical quests, enchanted crafts, and epic games that bring fairytales and legends to life. Knights, dragons, wizards, and enchanted lands await as campers work together, build confidence, and create unforgettable memories. Adventure calls—answer it, and let the tale unfold!
Week 3: June 15th-19th
Mud Mayhem Get ready to dive into the messiest, silliest, most unforgettable week of summer! The messier, the better! This week at camp, campers will splash, squish, and splatter their way through paint, slime, shaving cream, water games, and of course—plenty of mud. It’s all about creativity, laughter, and letting loose in the most unforgettable (and delightfully dirty!) way possible. Pack an old shirt, leave perfection at the door, and get ready—because messy fun is the best kind of fun! (Closed June 19th for Juneteenth)
Week 4: June 22nd-26th
Party in the USA Red, white, and WOO-HOO! Celebrate summer, stars, and stripes with the ultimate red, white, and blue bash! During this patriotic week, campers will enjoy festive games, patriotic art projects, and all-American fun in honor of the 4th of July. It’s a star-spangled celebration bursting with fun, friendship, and memories that shine brighter than fireworks! Come join the celebration—it’s a party in the USA!
Week 5: July 6th-10th
Full STEAM Ahead Innovation, imagination, inspiration—this week has it all! Campers will explore the exciting worlds of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on experiments, inventive projects, and imaginative builds. From building and crafting to problem-solving and collaboration, every day sparks curiosity, inspires imagination, and turns learning into an unforgettable adventure. Full STEAM ahead! Get ready to dream boldly, build brilliantly, and explore without limits.
Week 6: July 13th-17th
Water Wipeout Splish, splash, summer’s a blast! Campers will conquer epic slip-and-slides, race through wild water relays, and take on silly splash challenges that guarantee nonstop laughs. From high-energy team games to free-flowing fun under the sprinklers, every day is packed with cool escapes and unforgettable memories. So grab your swimsuit, lather up the sunscreen, and get ready—every day’s a pool party and no swimsuits will be dry!
Week 7: July 20th-24th
Summer’s Got Talent Lights, camera, action! Spotlight on summer! Campers will enjoy a week of classic camp fun while exploring their own unique talents. Older campers will prepare and perform in a grand showcase, while younger campers cheer them on as their biggest fans. No parents—just campers celebrating creativity, confidence, and teamwork in an event that’s all their own. It’s the perfect finale to a summer filled with friendships, fun, and unforgettable moments!

Who can attend Summer@CMDS?
Summer@CMDS is open to the entire Memphis community. Boys and girls entering (rising) PK through rising 7th grade are welcome. Rising PK campers must be 3 years old by June 1 and fully potty trained.
Do campers have to be CMDS students?
No. Campers do not need to be CMDS students to attend. We love welcoming new families and friends each summer.
What are the camp hours?
Summer@CMDS runs Monday–Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day includes a mix of movement, daily devotion, arts and crafts, games, music, water play, and time to connect with friends. Activities are age-appropriate and designed to keep campers engaged and active.
Will my child participate in water activities?
Yes. Campers enjoy water play every day. Please send a change of clothes and a towel each day.
What should my child bring to camp each day?
Campers should bring a change of clothes, a towel, a packed lunch that does not require heating or refrigeration, and morning and afternoon snacks.
When does registration open and close?
Online registration opens mid February
What is the registration fee?
A $60 non-refundable registration fee is required for all campers.
What does an example of the weekly pricing look like?
One Day Only Drop In: $65/one day only
Day Camp, Three Days: $220/week (Limited Space)
Day Camp, Five Days: $260/week
Joining Before or After Enrichment Camp: $155/week
Enrichment Camps: Varied pricing and times.
What if I need to cancel or make changes?
Cancellations or changes require five business days’ notice.
How are payments handled?
All payments are processed securely through UltraCamp.
