Students, sing along! Here’s your weekly Music video lesson. This week we practice solfege syllables do, re, mi fa, and so. Then transfer those syllables to the song, “I Miss Your Smile.”

Watch the video on tempos using "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Open Shut Them." The students will sing along and repeat the tempo markings of largo, moderato, and presto. The students will then sing the songs in the tempo markings discussed.
JK and SK students who want more: Watch this video on whole, half, quarter notes, and rests. Listen carefully to the musical examples played with these examples. It would be great if you have any musical instruments to play along with the video. If not, use anything around the house that can make noise!

The students will participate in the video lessons using solfege syllables "do, re, mi." They will transfer those syllables to a familiar song we sing, "Hot Cross Buns." The students will also learn about the dynamics in music and then incorporate dynamic markings into the upcoming Chapel song for the week, "I Got Peace Like a River." I'd love to see videos of your kids working through these lessons. Please email me. Thanks!

Here’s your video music class for the week. “Clatter Clatter” is first. You will need to gather kitchen utensils to “clack” together for this song. Then dance to “Bunny Hokie Pokie.” Lastly, watch and learn the song “Mighty to Save.” Parents, it might be good to speak over the lyrics with your kids before you sing it. Happy Easter!

Students, please sing along with me on two songs. The first one is entitled “The Pizza Song.” We have sung this one before, but it has some new twists for home singing! The song “We Love Our Friends” is a new song. Play it however many times needed. (Click here for the videos!) Email Mrs. Ellis.
