The families that are a part of our community best tell the CMDS story. We asked several parents to share their family’s story: what brought them to CMDS and what their experiences have been.

“Christ Methodist Day School is home for our family. With three school-aged children, our priorities for elementary education are academics, enriching curriculum and a co-ed environment where our sons and daughter can share pride and love for a school community that is close to all of our hearts. CMDS is these things and so much more.”
– Katherine and John Russell (Charlie ‘21, Clark ‘24 and Hank ‘27)

“A surprise and a blessing, we became grandparents then guardians of two beautiful girls. We knew the greatest gift we could give them, other than our love, would be an exceptional education that not only included academics but also love and support in a Christian environment.”
– Debbie and Joe Benjamin (Abby ‘23 and Anna ‘25)

“What began as a search for quality early childhood education led to an extension of our family. CMDS offers Christian education with small classrooms, but big ties to the community. It’s a place where everyone knows your name and they never hesitate to chat.”
– Tonique Holland (Jalen ‘10, Amaya ‘16 and Laila ‘18)

“The strong academic preparation that CMDS provides its students, while surrounding them in a nurturing, Christian environment and encouraging positive character development in every aspect of life, fulfilled our wishes for an elementary school. It brings us great joy to see our son excited to go to school each day, and know that he is getting a solid foundation for the well-rounded young man we want him to become.”
– Analice and Michael Sowell (Patrick ‘24)

“We have three children at CMDS. Each of them are unique in their own way. CMDS has recognized each of their strengths and differences. Christ Methodist challenges them when it is appropriate and offers support and additional assistance when needed.”
– Byron and Kristen Fisher (Trip ‘19, Thomas ’22 and Emma ‘24)

“We visited several other schools before we went to CMDS and didn’t get a great feel for any of them. CMDS was actually the last school we visited and during that tour things felt so different and we realized we had found the spot for us. The best way I can describe it was – it felt comfortable. Going in the front door, walking around the school, meeting teachers, meeting Dr. Williams, it all felt comfortable. I looked up the word comfortable in the dictionary and part of the definition is: free from stress or fear…relaxed, secure, safe, unworried, contented, happy. These are all words that I use to describe CMDS.”
– Tricia and Michael Bradshaw (Cy ‘21, Wallace ‘23 and Michael ‘26)

“We are now five years into our relationship with CMDS and it truly gets better and better. We are grateful for both the Christian learning environment as well as the loving teachers and administration who have really fostered a family atmosphere within the school.”
– Alison and Sean Henneberger (Woods ‘25 and Hays ‘27)
