  • painting supplies (optional – watercolors, paints, brushes)

  • scissors

  • tape

Decorate a rectangular piece of paper. Draw, paint....whatever you'd like! I drew with markers then used watercolors on top!

Wait for the picture to dry if you painted, then follow the steps to cut out your butterfly in the video!

If you would like to send me your butterflies, I'd love to see them!

Dye and Bubble Art

Materials:

  • Paper (Thicker is better.) You can have a regular shaped piece of paper or cut it into a shape (heart, circle, flower).

  • Dish soap

  • Food coloring or egg dye (Liquid is easier to use than gel.)

  • Straw

  • Bowl

Instructions:

  1. In a medium to large bowl, pour some dish soap in and fill up with water.

  2. Add drops of food coloring or egg dye and stir around with straw.

  3. You can add more bubbles by blowing into the bowl with the straw. (Be careful not to drink the water though!)

  4. *You can watch video now for the rest of the instructions if you want!*

  5. Once bubbles are high and colorful enough, place the paper face down on the bubbles.

  6. Once paper has enough bubbles on it, set it out to dry!

  7. Your project can either now be complete or you can write messages/notes on them, cut it into strips for book marks, or hang it up in your room! Enjoy!

Easter Walk-Through Crosses

Materials:

  • Crayons or colored pencils

  • Scissors

  • Tape or glue

  • Two pieces of paper

  • (Optional – watercolor and paint brushes)

I thought it would be a sweet idea to make our own Easter Walk Through crosses! PDF of cross is included! There are step by step instructions on each picture!

Important note: When drawing the flowers, try to do them small enough on the page so that you can fit a lot of flowers on! Just remember, there are no mistakes in art! Just do your best! If you’d like to send pictures of your crosses to me, I’d love to see them!

Hi my little artists! I miss seeing your faces! I’ll be sending fun art ideas that you can do at home!

With Easter coming up, I thought it’d be fun to decorate your own Easter eggs! You can use this PDF or draw your own egg! You can decorate using whatever you would like... crayons, markers, colored pencils or paint! You can even use glitter if mom or dad will allow :)

To take it one step further: Some neighborhoods are already doing this, and I think it’s such a fun idea. Start a Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt! All you have to do is put your Easter egg in your window! Color it, paint it, cut it out and tape it on your windows! Encourage your neighbors to do the same!

Use 8.5x11 inch paper or larger so that your neighbors can really see the egg from the street! Then, you can go outside, walk around your neighborhood with your family and count how many Easter eggs you can find!
